PoC run (baseline panic):

  root@dfbsd:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/X86_64_GENERIC  x86_64
  (custom X86_64_GENERIC built in-guest via `make nativekernel` with
   device dimm / device ecc / device memtemp commented out, so dimm.ko is
   loadable module-mode; everything else stock)

Stock guest (post `vm.sh reset with-src`):

no SMAP/SMEP/KASLR on this guest (per project standard snapshot)
/dev/dri* : absent (even with drm.ko loaded) — corroborates that the
  drm_dp_aux_dev.c aux chardev is compiled out (#if 0, no
  CONFIG_DRM_DP_AUX_CHARDEV in sys/dev/drm/kconfig.h)
