umount + remount:
REMOUNTED 526817f2... (ORIGINAL RANDOM — the write did NOT persist to media)
Media inspection of the used image (host side):
- all 60 INDIRECT levels intact on media, data entry still -> 0x8c0000f
- block at 0x8c00000 still holds the original random bytes
- file inode block unmodified; volume header / freemap / superroot-adjacent
  blocks were updated by the mount+flush activity
=> documented fix caveat: deferred (>16-deep) crafted chains do not persist
their in-place data write; see VERDICT.md #4.
