## Mechanism (source-traced)

CONFIRMED by source trace. preload_dump_internal loops while(bptr[0]!=MODINFO_END)(:410) — checks only the type word, not the {0,0} double-check other walkers use. len=0xFFFFFFFF at :425 → roundup(0xFFFFFFFF,8)/4 = 0x40000000 words → bptr jumps ~4GB. OOB read/panic via debug.dump_modinfo sysctl.

## Fix

Double-check the terminator (type==0 && len==0) and bound the pointer advance. Supersedes finding proposal.

## Build validation

`fix.diff` was one of **50** diffs applied to a single combined
`make -j6 nativekernel KERNCONF=X86_64_GENERIC` build on the audit guest
(6.5-DEVELOPMENT #0, INVARIANTS ON). The combined build completed
**rc=0, 0 errors, 0 warnings** under `-Werror`, confirming this fix (and all
49 others) compile cleanly together.
